In light of the rich marine coasts and abundant fishery resources enjoyed by the Republic of Yemen—resources that represent a vital pillar of national food security and a key contributor to the national economy—the General Authority for Fisheries in the Arabian Sea – Yemen continues to carry out its responsibilities with dedication and national commitment to promote the sustainable and wise use of these natural assets and to preserve them for future generations.

Since its establishment, the Authority has been committed to building an integrated regulatory system based on planning, monitoring, and active partnership with all stakeholders at the local, regional, and international levels. Our efforts focus on supporting fishermen, issuing necessary licenses, developing port infrastructure, improving the quality of marine products, and enhancing export capabilities to global markets.

The Authority also places great importance on protecting the marine environment, combating illegal fishing, and addressing violations that threaten the ecological balance of marine systems. This is achieved through marine inspection teams and the enforcement of relevant laws and regulations.
